Robert Dilansa

Our new Woodworking teacher, now offered for grades 4-8, Robert was raised in Southern Indiana and Northern California, which fostered in him a blend of down-home simplicity and west-coast innovation. After receiving his a BA in English from Sonoma State University, he taught English as a foreign language in the Czech Republic and China and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. Returning to the States, Robert moved to Ashland, where he met his wife, Jodie and earned his MA in teaching at Southern Oregon University. He taught middle school and high school English for twelve years.

Robert came into contact with Waldorf education through the enthusiasm of his Waldorf-educated wife. His appreciation for Waldorf continues to deepen as he and his wife witness its benefits for their eight-year-old daughter, Kiva. Their three-year-old son, Rhys, will start Waldorf pre-school in the fall of 2017.
